Mom Dumpling Reviews (0)
I had the pleasure of being seated right next to the kitchen during my dining experience at this restaurant. As I watched the chefs diligently prepare dumplings, I was filled with excitement and anticipation. The aroma wafting from the kitchen only heightened my appetite. When the dumplings arrived at my table, I was not disappointed. Each bite was bursting with flavor, and I savored every mouthful. It was evident that a great deal of care and skill went into crafting each dumpling, and I truly appreciated the attention to detail. Overall, my dining experience at this restaurant was unforgettable. The combination of being so close to the action in the kitchen and the delicious food made for a truly unique and enjoyable meal. I will definitely be returning in the future to indulge in more of their culinary delights. less
It had been some time since my last visit, and I immediately noticed a change in the menu. I couldn't help but wonder if there had been a change in ownership. Despite this, I was pleased to find that their XLB was still as delicious as ever. However, I must say that their popcorn chicken was a bit too salty for my liking. The lava bun, while different from their black bun, was still quite enjoyable. Overall, this remains my kids' favorite spot solely for the XLB. The rest of the dishes were just okay in my opinion. less
My partner and I decided to have a mini date night on a Tuesday, and it turned out to be a great experience at this restaurant. We kicked off our meal with some xlb and pan-fried dumplings, both of which were delicious. After enjoying those dishes, we couldn't resist ordering the pork and shrimp siu mai, which also hit the spot for us. We loved the food so much that we ended up taking 20 dumplings home, perfect for a late-night wonton soup craving. One thing that stood out to us was seeing the chef hand-making the dumplings as soon as we walked in. It added a unique touch to our dining experience. The service was laid-back and friendly, creating a chill atmosphere for us to enjoy our meal. Overall, this restaurant is a sweet, simple, and solid spot that we would definitely recommend to others. less
Recently, my friends and I decided to grab a bite at this restaurant before going our separate ways. We tried the house special xiao long bao, which was absolutely delicious. Along with that, we also ordered the veg fried rice, pork and shrimp potstickers, and a refreshing Thai tea. Every dish was a solid 10/10! We decided to try something new and opted for the beef brisket soup, which turned out to be pretty good. The broth was lighter than we anticipated, earning it an 8/10 in our books. Overall, our dining experience was fantastic. The server was attentive and sweet, making our meal even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this place for a satisfying and delicious meal! less
Upon stepping into this charming little restaurant, my taste buds were immediately tantalized by the array of delectable aromas wafting through the air. We placed our order and eagerly awaited our dishes, feeling like kids on Christmas morning. Finally, our meal arrived, and let me tell you - it was worth the wait! The house Special XLB was bursting with flavor, while the Crab and pork Xlb were a delightful surprise. The soup inside the Xlb was so warm and comforting, it felt like a hug in a dumpling. And don't even get me started on the house special pan-fried bao and vegetarian pot stickers - they were simply divine. I couldn't help but devour each bite, savoring every mouthful. Needless to say, I will definitely be returning to this culinary gem again and again. less
The beef roll at this restaurant was a delightful start to our meal. The tender beef slices wrapped in a thin pancake were flavorful, although I wished the pancake had a bit more crispiness. The fresh vegetables and hoisin sauce added a perfect touch to every bite. Moving on to the beef noodle soup, it was a comforting and satisfying dish, especially after a morning at the dentist with an empty stomach. The rich and flavorful broth, paired with generous portions of tender beef and chewy noodles, really hit the spot. It was the ideal comfort food, especially on a typical San Francisco day. Despite being the only diners at the restaurant on a quiet Tuesday afternoon, the service was quick and efficient. We also appreciated the 10% discount offered before 4pm. Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience that we would definitely recommend to others. less
Tucked away in a quiet strip mall not far from SF State, I stumbled upon Mom Dumpling and was pleasantly surprised by the dining experience. As I walked in, I couldn't help but notice the chefs behind a glass window meticulously crafting each dumpling to order. It was a unique and interactive touch that added to the charm of the humble dining room. I decided to start off with the Xiao Long Bao, and I was impressed by the care that went into making each one. The dumpling wrappers were freshly rolled out and filled with juicy minced pork before being steamed to perfection. The combination of the soupy filling, ginger, and vinegar dipping sauce was a delight to my taste buds. The skin of the dumplings was just the right texture - soft yet chewy. Another standout dish was the Pan Fried Bao, filled with a savory pork mixture that was encased in a doughy wrapper and pan-fried to create a crispy bottom. The contrast in textures was amazing, and I couldn't get enough of the flavorful filling. I also tried the Dan Dan Noodles, which were tossed in a creamy peanut butter sauce and topped with savory ground meat. The addition of Shanghai bok choy added a refreshing touch to the dish. The Dry Cooked Green Beans were another hit, with the deep-fried beans tossed in garlic for a flavorful kick. Overall, I was impressed by the fresh and tasty offerings at Mom Dumpling, especially considering the unassuming setting. While the prices were a bit higher than expected, the quality of the food more than made up for it. I can't wait to come back and try more of their delicious dumplings. less
Tucked away in a charming corner of a small mall near Stonestown gallery is a hidden gem of a restaurant. I recently had the pleasure of trying their Dan Dan noodles and beef noodle soup, both of which were decent. However, it was the dumplings that truly stole the show - each one handmade, bursting with juicy flavors, and incredibly fresh. I must say, I prefer this little spot over any other dumpling place in SF! less
Upon entering this charming restaurant, I was immediately struck by the friendly atmosphere and excellent service. The owner greeted us warmly and made us feel right at home. We decided to try three dishes from their menu and we were not disappointed. The dishes arrived promptly, and we enjoyed watching the xiaolongbao being expertly prepared in front of us. The broccoli with garlic sauce was a solid 8/10, while the chong qing spicy chicken stole the show with a solid 9/10 rating. The spicy pork xiao long bao was also a tasty option, scoring a respectable 7/10. However, the true standout of the meal was the dessert black golden cream custard bao. Filled with a delectable yellow yolk custard, it struck the perfect balance of sweetness without being overwhelming, earning a near-perfect score of 9.8/10. Overall, our dining experience was a delightful one and I would definitely consider returning in the future. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for delicious food and friendly service. less
